Given the current situation, where "reality" is mostly contrived and staged, it's easy to get the impression that, while we are barely managing to keep our head above water, everyone else is perfect and living their best lives. We can feel isolated in our struggles, and we often carry unnecessary guilt and shame for our perceived flaws and weaknesses.
In this fairytale world of perfection, trusting someone enough to drop the facade and expose the real you is scary. I invite you a place where you will feel heard, understood, and valued. My style is informal and relaxed. I seek to encourage and support, not judge and criticize. I believe in taking a client-centered, collaborative approach in helping clients, and I tend to draw from a variety of counseling theories based on the client's concerns and personal goals.
I have a special interest in working with women, parents, and teens. My areas of focus are anxiety, stress, self-esteem, relationship issues, and parenting.
I invite you to contact me if you're interested in scheduling a free consultation or learning more.
